Silent Symphony

March 19, 2009 – III-Mercury students of Cipriano P. Primicias held a five-group stage play which is headed by Mrs. Marife de Guzman.

Five groups of different styles and qualities vied for the impression of the audiences of which is the best portrayal of Romeo and Juliet.

First group to perform is Nestor’s group wherein their Romeo is Joshua (crushie!. hehe) and Juliet is Aivan. Nestor as the prince acted well and shone out among of his members. Joshua’s act was okay too, and Aivan, but the rest are fading. They haven’t been noticed that much. Their play was okay except for the slight mistake which Aivan drank the vial and died which is not,  she should’ve stabbed herself with a dagger.

Second Group – Chester’s Group. (ugh. I hate it when Chester calls me babaeng gubat. O_o) I haven’t watched their performance that much since we were rehearsing that time. But all I know is their script was a bit poetic which makes their play catchy, and Chester I know acted well because he’s a declaimer when we were second year. And Oh! Main characters – Sherina as Juliet and Maico (cute) as Romeo.

Third Group – Cherryl’s Group. If my group was excluded, I should say that they were the best. Why? I read their script and it was good, understandable by audiences. Another is, they memorized their script well. Arnold portryas Romeo which is really appropriate because of Arnold’s way of moving and body language, and we all know that Arnold’s the best actor of the Mercury section. Meanwhile, Ria acts as Juliet, at first I thought it won’t turn out good, I even suggested to Cherryl to change her Juliet but she said to me (in a soprano tone) that “Eh kung madadala naman niya, bakit hindi?” And she was right! Ria really acted well and it’s undoubtable and not surprising because Ria always plays the main character during school plays and no doubt she’s a good actress.

Fourth Group – Zsasha’s Group.  Zsasha’s group was not bad at all. Though I haven’t watched well their group because we were preparing for our performance, still we watched the last part. Zsasha’s the best among them not because she’s the leader but the way she acted as Juliet’s Nurse. She acts well, as always. Aura portrays Juliet, not bad too, twas good while Nissim ( I should say that he’s the best Romeo for his exprssion of feelings, and I felt that he was Romeo when he’s performing. hehe) plays Romeo.  Overall, their performance was nice.

Fifth Group. Last (but not the least) Group. My Group –  For me, My group is the best. (They said it too) We were the last group, though only few watched the play, we did our best for it (actually, all groups did) and there, we’re the last group. Beverly who plays Juliet for me, is the best Juliet in terms of costume and appearance. Why? Nagpasadya kasi siya ng damit niya! Galing noh! And she’s effin’ gorgeous. While Paul as Romeo acted okay, too. Everything was going well in the beggining except that I kinda like being girly in fight scenes. Damn. I did my best to be like TYBALT! T^T and still, I acted like a girl, but it’s okay, It added fun to the play, yes, FUN. And I also  portrya Friar Lawrence and I felt like I was really a Friar. XDD haha, but It was good, I got tired, yet enjoyed acting, and our sacrifices paid. We were the Best group, I think (because our teacher said to us, “Very Good!) and yeah, it was it.
